GRANDE DAME....PEARL

Pearl may be relatively new to the drag world, but there's no doubt she's quickly rising to the top! Stepping into drag for the first time only a year and a half ago, Pearl has already made a big name for herself. She has already made my top ten list of queens to watch out for. You'll get the chance to see her on this season of RuPaul's Drag Race, where I'm pretty sure she will place top four. Soon after her initial exposure, she was invited to perform in shows throughout Chicago, where she has worked diligently over the past year to hone her craft and go outside her comfort zone to reach her maximum potential.Pearl is the epitome of glamorous, drawing inspiration from the Stepford Wives and old Hollywood glam divas. She has worked to create soft edges, but don’t let this demure fool you: Pearl is an absolute machine when performing! When she takes the stage, Pearl focuses on creating an eclectic performance piece.Pearl also performs monthly at Neverland’s ‘Drag Carnage’ show, which is probably one of the most insane drag venues I have ever seen, a drag show to end all drag shows if you ask me, and hosts her own show, ‘Pleasure,’ in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.Pearl has had the opportunity to share her talents with New York City, as well, performing at both Duplex and Sugarland. It would seem she made quite an impact, as she is planning a move to New York in the very near future. As her look continues to evolve and change, she's excited to see her career do the same, and I'm looking forward to what the next chapter brings!

And if I may, Pearl is very tempting out of drag too!!!!!

MOZART BIRTHDAY BASH

Happy 259th Birthday Mozart!!!!!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born this January 27 in 1756,and was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. At 17, he was engaged as a court musician in Salzburg, but grew restless and travelled in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death.  He composed over 600 works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. Beethoven composed his own early works in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote that "posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years."

So, while I'm home today, I'll be listening to Mozart on the classical channel. But if your working from home, or at work, just listen to these favorites, while you work in another window!!!! And enjoy Mozart's Day!!!!!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's final Masterpiece was commissioned in mid 1791 by the Austrian count Franz Von Walsegg.

GOODNIGHT KISS FROM THE SNOW QUEEN

Just got back from my time off, just in time for a lovely goodnight kiss from the Snow Queen. Took these night shots minutes ago.........

Say what may, it is quite beautiful and haunting at the same time. Were expecting 18-24". Currently sipping a bourbon, and then going to bed. I'm sleeping in tomorrow, so don't you all shake the sheets to loud.

PEARLS OF WISDOM

Still away chickens, but will be back real soon!!!! In New York currently. In the last post's comments, I was told to toss a few pearls to you. Couldn't resist some Harry's.

And who doesn't love a pearl necklace? I have had quite a few in my vast collection.

oF COURSE, old school use to say it was only fashionable to wear pearls before 6pm, where then one could then switch to the diamonds and rhinestone crowd......

Now my new neighbors Benny and Betty Breckbill aren't rich by any means, but Benny loves to spoil his wife by giving her a pearl necklace whenever he can. Betty is generally appreciative, although not when Benny unexpectedly misfires. But they appear to be in generally good moods.

Be back soon!!!!!

A WINTER's HIATUS

Meanwhile with the holidays a wrap, things are quieting down around here.......

The stairways are quiet......

the lights are out....

the parlor vacant....

and no houseboys in sight in the halls...

This could only mean one thing......I'll be off again!!!!
First up, a black tie gala, in two weeks with the Professor for a night of fun at the wonderful Aldie Mansion here in Doylestown.

Sure to be a swell function. It is in conjunction with Princeton  where he teaches and lectures. Which meant for me this weekend...shopping for a new fitted monkey suit. After many tries.......

SOLD! Although, I do believe he just wants to take the suit off me!!!

Up next will be a trip planned to see the Lad, and a two day rejuvenation for us both at a spa with the works is planned. Facials, massage, body scrub and a Thasso Body wrap, and hair clean up. Much needed. Nothing like a spa visit to freshen up the winter doldrums. Next, two major work projects, and then some time to rest the mind, hibernate, and a gin break, I'll be taking a little hiatus till February. In the meantime when I get a chance, I'll still be reading blogs. And I have no idea what the houseboys and Ms.Moorecock will be up to. And do we really want to know?? See you all next month!!!!

 Tootles!!!!!!
